- Side note: Did you know, of all the officials who served in the Trump administration, almost every one has endorsed his opponent or is now a convicted felon? (famous sports analyst Colin Cowherd breaks it down) (With Trump pardoning many of them, including the despicable Roger Stone.)
Just to set the record straight, that list includes every Republican presidential nominee or president or vice president who was living with a possibility of voting for Trump (except Sarah Palin lol), plus a bunch of other related folks. Why are they unanimous in endorsing that Trump loses? Because they don’t need to be re-elected so they tell the truth.
The only reason the vast majority of current Republicans (for instance, almost all Republican Congressmen) are letting Trump get away with his big lie is they don’t have term limits, and they have decided that staying in office and the perks of it are much more important than the American people. The working class, middle class, every day Americans, including the majority of conservatives and their own constituents, do not register on their top 5 priorities in life. The big lie takes root because not enough Republicans who know better will reject it, so the normies think anything anti-Trump is just partisan witch hunting because it looks like all the Republicans support Trump and all the Democrats don’t.
But, the Republicans who don’t have term limits, or who really care about doing a good job rather than keeping the job perks at all cost, well, they’ve come out to do the unthinkable and endorse a Democrat for president. It’s not all the blue on one side and all the red on another. It’s a huge bipartisan group on one side, and a subset of Republicans who are willing to be extreme to benefit themselves.
We really need to put Trumpism behind us and move on. The Republican Party needs to heal, because we desperately need more than one functioning party.
